Yankuba Darboe, Chairman of the Brikama Area Council (BAC), has on Saturday presented a cash amount of D5,000 in financial aid to each of the 12 victims of the June 11th Brikama market fire incident.
“Under my leadership as the Chairman of the Brikama Area Council, I am committed to serving the interests of my beloved people,” the chairman said.
In attendance at the Saturday morning presentation were Chairman Yankuba Darboe, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Brikama Area Council (BAC), along with the members of the Market and Car Park subcommittee.
This gathering took place in light of a recent devastating incident. An inferno had erupted in Brikama’s Central Market, situated opposite the former sub-office of GRA, resulting in the loss of valuable assets worth millions of dalasis.
