Buzz Women Gambia on Saturday in Brusubi launched a book entitled: “Gift of Friendship”.
The book is jointly authored by Ousman Muhammed Cham, board chair and Dave Jongeneelen, co-founder of Buzz Women Organisation, parent body of Buzz Women Gambia.
Speaking at the launch, co-author Mr Cham said, writing the book awakened him renewed sense of commitment to share his thoughts about how the humanity could collectively harness nature for the good of all.
Mr Cham called on all Gambians and friends of The Gambia to read the book and to be part of their spirited conversation on gender, ambition, character, leadership, and freedom.
Dave Jongeneelen, co-founder of the Buzz Women Organisation said, for him writing this book was his wisdom and it was a life changing to him after writing this book.
“The book is a gift from us to many people across Africa and we think with one culture we can not bring all human together,” he said.
Hassoum Ceesay, historian and author, in his review of the book said, the authors, use the 23 chapters in the book to delve into separate but joint lives, the trajectories that they have taken and even those not taken, etc.
He added that much of the book is taken up by the chapters that discuss the current state of the world; from the scourge of racism to the impairment caused by the corona pandemic, to the failed attempts at forging a new constitution for The Gambia.
Buzz Women Organisation, parent body for Buzz Women Gambia, the organisation a school on wheels that aims to equip low-income women with financial, entrepreneurial and leadership skills that would help them combat poverty.
The Organisation drives to communities within the country to conduct training for women and certify them upon completion.
