Warrant Officer Class 2, Lamin Sillah also a member of former President Jammeh’s hit squad [junglers] told the Truth Commission that “Bukarabou” [traditional] music was ongoing at the residence of former president Yahya Jammeh in Kanilai, while they were killing other West African migrants in a forest.
Mr Sillah made these revelations on Monday while testifying on the killings of migrants in The Gambia.

The witness also testified in to connection to the arrest of Landing Sanneh and the killings of Almamo Manneh as well as the West African migrants.
Explaining how 8 of the 10 West African migrants who were put on board his vehicle were killed, he said they were shot one by one and thrown into a well.
“While this killing were happening a “Bukarabou” music was ongoing at Yahya Jammeh’s residence in Kanilai, and we could hear it in the forest” the witness said.
On what happened to the other migrants in the other vehicle, Sillah said they were all killed and threw into the the well.
He testify that after the operations, they all went back to Kanilai, and Solo Bojang went to Yahya Jammeh and briefed him.
