Yankuba Darboe, Chairman of the Brikama Area Council (BAC), has announced the finalization of a partnership deal with the Barcelona Metropolitan Area in Spain.
“The Chairman of Brikama Area Council Yankuba Darboe has today finalised Brikama Area Council’s partnership deal with the Barcelona Metropolitan Area of Spain. A team of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area technicians will visit the BAC in January/February 2025 for feasibility studies to help BAC in capacity building and technical support to BAC,” BAC wrote on Facebook.
Additionally, the Chairman shared that BAC has been invited to submit a project proposal for funding support from the Santander Bank Foundation for a women empowerment project in the region, following successful discussions in Madrid.
“BAC wishes to thank Mbolo and Fandema Associations of the Gambia, and Ms Violeta, the Spanish Charge D’Affaires of the Gambia for facilitating the meetings between Chairman Darboe and relevant stakeholders in Spain,” BAC said.
Chairman Yankuba Darboe is currently in Spain, meeting with partners after attending the United Democratic Party’s convention.
