The case of Bubacarr Bob Keita has suffered another delay at the High Court in Banjul. The Judge presiding over the case was absent for the second time resulting to an adjournment in the high profile criminal case.

Kexx Sanneh who was in attendance at the High Court today, wrote the following on his Facebook page;

“Bob Keita’s case couldn’t proceed today due to the absence of the Judge for the second time in a row.”

“Bob Keita arrived at the courtroom at 10: 00 am, and took his seat expecting the state to proceed with their submission, only for the clerk to walk into the courtroom @ 10:46 am and inform the accused persons (Bob and others) that the Judge informed her that he will not be coming to court because his driver didn’t work today or didn’t show up to pick him”

Mr Keita, 29, is standing trial for the alleged rape of his ex-wife’s 15-year-old sister. He denies any wrong doing.

Kexx Sanneh, in his writeup, elucidates on what transpired at Bob Keita’s last court appearance.

“It could be recalled that Bob Keita’s case couldn’t proceed last scheduled date too which was last Thursday the 28th of April, 2022, due to the absence of the Judge. Likewise, it couldn’t proceed today either because the judge’s driver didn’t show up for work”.
