BCC Intercepts Two People Allegedly Modifying Expired Mayonnaise Into Cooking Oil

Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe of Banjul City Council (BCC) announced that her council intercepted two people who were allegedly modifying expired mayonnaise from the dumpsite to turn it into cooking oil.
“The Banjul City Council under my leadership is hereby informing the public that we have intercepted people who are modifying expired mayonnaise from the dump site to transform it into cooking oil,” Mayor Lowe wrote on her Facebook page on Monday.
Banjul Mayor Rohey Malick Lowe said that the council was recently made aware that some people were taking expired mayonnaise from the dumpsite and recycling it into gallons of cooking oil for sale.
“Two people were caught and are under police custody. As a result, the council urges everyone to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity, as this can have health implications after consumption,” she concluded.
