President Adama Barrow said the crowd he is pulling in his ongoing tour is frightening the opposition parties.
“I am very happy today. I am very happy you people welcome me. I am very happy to see this crowd. The crowd Jimara showed, the crowd North Bank Region showed, the crowd Kantora showed, the crowd CRR North showed, and the crowd Basse showed, is frightening the opposition parties,” President Barrow said in Suduwol on EyeAfrica TV.
The Gambian leader called on his critics to join him in developing the country.
He said those who refused to join his camp are not opposing him in the best interest of the country, but in their own interest.
“On the 9th of October, I will come here and inaugurate the bridges and roads I have constructed. That day I will invite everyone who is from URR to come and attend the inauguration of these projects. That day I want the crowd to be more than this up to an extent no one should feel the hotness of the sun,” Barrow told the crowd in Suduwol in his ongoing meet the people’s tour.
The tour, which is endorsed by Section 222 [15] of the 1997 Constitution began on 13th September and is scheduled to end on 30th September.
During the meeting, the President is expected to hold 20 meetings across the country and also visit project sites
