Barrow Returns Following 10-day Tour In Rural Gambia

President Adama Barrow returned to State House after spending 10 days of ‘Meet The People Tour’ in rural Gambia.
The tour, which started on the 13th September, would run until 30th September 2021, according to the tour itinerary.
During the 10 days tour upcountry, President Barrow conducted several General Meetings, laid foundation stones of projects and inspected some ongoing construction projects.
President and the delegation would rest on Friday but the tour would continue on Saturday in the Greater Banjul Area with similar engagements, according to the itinerary.
Section 222 [15] of The 1997 Constitution requires the President to undertake a nationwide tour at least twice a year to familiarise himself or herself with current conditions and the effect of government policies.
