By Buba Gagigo
Banjul, along with three other cities, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UI NETWORKS, a transportation company that collaborates closely with the City of Seoul to identify cities eligible for transportation grants.
This partnership aims to improve mobility, with a focus on empowering women and girls.
“In another development, alongside three other African cities—Tema (Ghana), Mombasa (Kenya), and Monrovia (Liberia)—I signed a memorandum of understanding with UI NETWORKS, a transportation company that works directly with the City of Seoul to identify potential cities eligible for transportation grants. REFELA has been working on this dossier for nearly two years now, knowing very well the importance of mobility for women and girls. Finally, Banjul has been shortlisted,” Mayor Lowe revealed on her Facebook page.
Mayor Lowe expressed her gratitude to Evans Elikem Adjei, a Ghanaian policy analyst based in Korea, for his pivotal role in the communication and analysis of key partnership areas for African cities.
