In a viral video, Essa Faal who contested the last presidential election under independent ticket was verbally assaulted by Baba Jah Saturday night.
Baba Jah, a comedian and online commentator is heard in the video calling Essa Faal a “criminal Lawyer” and hurling insults at his parents.
Baba Jah also accused Essa Faal of mobilising a group to beat him up after calling the lawyer ‘a liar’.
“If you are a politician, you have to get thick skin,” Baba Jah told Faal in the video.
Essa Faal is not seen attacking or insulting in the entire video that went viral on social media in the early hours of Sunday morning. However, a group of men alighted from a vehicle and got into a verbal and physical altercation with Baba Jah who could be heard in the latter part of the video saying he got hit by one of the men.
A source familiar with the matter told Kerr Fatou: “Baba Jah found Essa Faal sitting. He greeted him, but Essa Faal told him not to greet him because he (Baba Jah) used to insult him during the campaign. That was the time Baba Jah started talking, took out his phone, and started filming and insulting Essa Faal.”
Both couldn’t be reached for comments on the matter.
