Ba Kawsu Fofana, Musa Saidy Remain Detained, Disciples Granted Bail
Islamic scholars Ba Kawsu Fofana, and Musa Saidy are still detained, but the 5 disciples of Imam Fafana have been released on bail earlier today.
“The disciples are granted bail, but the scholars (Ba Kawsu Fofana and Musa Saidy) are still in custody, as investigation into the matter continues,” police spokesperson ASP Binta Njie-Jatta told Kerr Fatou today.
However, the police spokesperson could not comment on the bail conditions of the disciples at the time of going to press.
The two prominent Imams have been charged with ‘incitement to violence and indecent assault’, and are being detained by the police, since yesterday, after they were invited for questioning over a reported attack on Imam Musa Saidy by the 5 disciples of Fofana, recently.
