Dodou Jah, the Deputy Spokesperson and Director of Media for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC), has officially resigned from his position, effective March 18, 2025.

In a letter addressed to the party leadership, Jah informed APRC National Chairman and Party Leader, the Right Hon. Alhagie Fabakary Tombong Jatta—who also serves as the Speaker of the National Assembly—the National Executive Committee, and the wider APRC membership both in The Gambia and the Diaspora of his decision to step down.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve, Jah thanked the party’s leadership, supporters, and sympathizers for their unwavering trust and cooperation during his tenure.“I want to thank the party’s leadership, supporters and sympathisers for giving me the opportunity to serve in various capacities within the party. The love and respect they accorded me was excellent and worth my humble appreciation,” he wrote.

Jah emphasized that he has no regrets about his time with the APRC and extended his appreciation to party loyalists, media houses, and the Gambian public for their support.

While stepping down from his official role, he reaffirmed his continued membership in the party and his commitment to serving the people and The Gambia.
