The Gambia U20 have levelled on points with their neighbours Senegal (Seven points each) after a draw against Guinea in their third game on Saturday.

The Young Scorpions have opened their ongoing WAFU tournament in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott with a 2-0 win over Cape Verde, and thrashed Liberia 4-1 in their second game on 1st September.

After drawing their third game against Guinea, the Gambia U20 are now levelled on points with Senegal whom they will meet on 6th September 2022 .

“Such a difficult contest against Guinea was expected, but we could have won the match because we had a clear goal that was ruled out for offside. We now focus on Senegal and get the result to see us get to the semifinals,” the Gambia Football Federation quoted the Young Scorpions Head Coach, Abdoulie Bojang as saying in a post-match presser yesterday.
