UDP Reveals Aspirants To Battle At Primaries For WCR Chairmanship, Others

The United Democratic Party (UDP) has revealed that 15 aspirants would contest at primaries to win the party’s ticket as candidate for the West Coast Region chairmanship in the 2023 local government elections.

The 15 aspirants for the West Coast Region chairmanship are: Binta Barry, Jammeh E.K Bojang, Abdoulie Bondi, Bakary L. Dahaba, Abdou Darboe, Saikou Talibia Darboe, Yankuba Darboe, Tuku K.M G Jallow, Amadou Scattred Janneh, Wassa Janneh, Dembo Kambi, Ousman Manjang, Lamin Saho, Ebrima M. L Saidy, and Abdoulie T.K Sanyang 

Meanwhile, Rohey Malick Lowe of Banjul; Talib Ahemed Bensouda of Kanifing Municipality; Malamin I. L Bojang of Kerewan Area Council; Landing B. Sanneh  of Mansakonko Area Council; and Foday Danjo of Basse Area Council are unopposed within the party and would be the UDP candidates in their respective regions in the next year’s local government elections.

While Alhagi S. B Sillah, Kawsu Conateh, Janko Ceesay, Ousman Komma, and Buba Sanneh would go for primaries for Kuntaur Area Council; 

 Alhagie N. Darboe, Ebrima N. Janneh, and Malick Sowe are hoping for Janjanbureh Area Council
