Trust Bank Donates Medical Supplies Worth D200,000 to Bansang General Hospital

As part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives in The Gambia’s healthcare sector, Trust Bank on Thursday donated medical supplies and essential items valued at over D200,000 to Bansang General Hospital. The contribution aims to enhance the hospital’s capacity to deliver quality healthcare services to the community.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Deputy Managing Director of Trust Bank highlighted the significance of the donation, emphasizing the longstanding partnership between the bank and the hospital.

“Today’s donation of D200,000 to Bansang Hospital symbolizes more than just a financial contribution—it represents over a decade of collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to improving healthcare across the region. Trust Bank is deeply proud of the role we have played in supporting this hospital’s mission to provide the best possible care to its patients.

“Bansang Hospital has long been a pillar of health services for the people of this region, and we are grateful to have been able to contribute to its growth and progress,” He Said.He further noted that the items were carefully selected in consultation with the hospital’s management to address its most pressing needs.

“This donation is a reflection of our dedication to ensuring that the hospital has the resources it needs to continue delivering vital services. Our contributions have always been guided by a simple but powerful belief: healthcare is one of the cornerstones of a thriving community, and we are committed to supporting it in every way we can.

“This donation of D200,000 has been specifically allocated for items identified in consultation with the hospital management, ensuring that our support is directly aligned with the hospital’s most urgent needs,” He Said.Masirending Njie, the Chief Executive Officer of Bansang General Hospital, expressed gratitude to Trust Bank for their continued support, assuring that the donated items would be used effectively.

“Thank you to the Management of Trust Bank, we have good collaboration with them, they have been the friends of Ministry of health, they started this from Tanka Tanka, and Today they are here, we want other Banks to follow the steps of Trust Bank. Even when we don’t have money in our main account, trust Bank is always willing to pay our staff, and they have adopted the male Ward which they donate items to every year,”
he remarked.
