Three ambassadors present Letter of Credence to Pres. Barrow

Ambassadors from the Peoples’ Republic of China, Cuba and Serra Leone have presented their Letter of Credence to President Adama Barrow on Tuesday.

The ambassador of China, Ma Jianchun, told waiting journalists following the ceremony that the Chinese government cherishes its relationship with Africa and her people.

On his plans for strengthening The Gambia-China relations, Ambassador Jianchun said he would follow through on the development blueprint that came out of the 2018 FOCAC Summit in Beijing, which is anchored on agriculture, infrastructure, and trade.

Meanwhile, the first to present her Letter of Credence to President Barrow was the High Commissioner of Sierra Leone, H.E. Lucretia Marian Shereef.

Talking to the State House media corps after meeting the President, she said:

“Education is a key priority for President Maada Bio. Giving my background as a seasoned educationist, my priority is to go into schools and see how best we cement the educational programs and initiate exchange programs.”
