The Secretary-General and Party Leader of the Gambia Action Party (GAP), Musa Yali Batchilly, said the Gambia Government has demonstrated ‘inefficiency’ to ensure that Gambia’s economy reaches double influx.

“The Gambia Government has demonstrated inefficiency to ensure that our economy reaches double influx and continually increase our national debt ceiling and expressed hideous concerns on issues that are seen by all the citizens. They bankrupted our country and created a legacy of malicious and exploitative loan deals as well as overstretched and demoralized public services, but they are still praising themselves for improving and strengthening our economy through fallacious IMF reports that don’t reflect on the lives of ordinary Gambians.

“These reports are endless slogans and propaganda aimed for political scores through the help of IMF that fakes the people without any realization of market value and living standards. Our economy will be redirected for the common good of all the citizens and The Gambia will compete in the global economic competitive zone through the efforts of Gambia Action Party’s economic reform policy,” the GAP leader said

Musa Yali Batchilly made these remarks at his Party’s National Congress last Thursday where he was reelected Secretary General and Party Leader.
