Famous Gambian rapper, Sanna Singhateh, fondly called ST announced his foundation’s plan to plant 1 million trees in The Gambia.
“On my birthday today, I have the honour through my foundation to launch the ST Environment Initiative and Awards. Through the coming months and years, I will be working with my foundation to support planting a million trees in The Gambia,” the rapper said on Facebook.
Also called ‘Brikama boyo’, the rapper added that his foundation would award prizes to deserving communities, schools, organizations and individuals in recognition of their work towards protecting the environment.
“The realities of climate change is all over the place and it’s our responsibility to play our part in mitigating the effects. Plant a tree wherever you are and tag us. We will reach out to you to work together to make The Gambia green,” he stated.
Sanna Singhateh is a rapper from Brikama established the ST Foundation that recently donated rice, sugar, oil among others to different communities in The Gambia.
