The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) has allowed Semlex to resume operation after the embattled Belgian company paid its tax arrears this afternoon.
Semlex, which produces Gambia’s biometric ID cards and driver’s licenses, was stopped from operation after GRA agents raided its Kanifing offices early Monday.
GRA’s Commissioner General Yankuba Darboe confirmed to Kerr Fatou that Semlex Tuesday paid its tax arrears and has therefore resumed operation.
