Seeking re-election in Busumbala constituency, Saikouba Jarju said he has seen signs of winning the upcoming parliamentary election in his Constituency.
“Asked your youths, I took them up to the Minister of Youths and sports and Finance to upgrade the Busumbala and the Yundum fields but the process was delayed because of the Scorpions going to Cameroon for AFCON. The money was diverted to sponsor the Scorpions. When the team came, I went there and he has promised me to go back and sleep, both fields are part of their plans.
“We know The Gambia is tax based, when they mobilize funds the Busumbala field will be fenced and the Yundum field will be upgraded. That’s why I came back to seek your support to go back to parliament to continue with my plans. I don’t promote myself but your finals were one of the best and I did that. But there is more ahead. April 9th let’s all go out and vote, but is clear to me and I have already seen the signs because no one can pull these caliber of people here,” he told the people of Busumbala on Thursday
Hon. Saikouba Jarju and 7 other UDP members who were serving as members of the National Assembly were expelled by the party for shifting allegiance to the President who earlier on fell out with the UDP. Mr Jarju is now seeking re-election under the National People’s Party (NPP).
