Momodou Sabally, Special Adviser to President Adama Barrow, has acknowledged that the 2026 presidential election will be a challenging one. However, he expressed confidence that President Barrow will emerge victorious when all is said and done.

Sabally shared his views on Sunday during his appearance on the For The People By The People show.

“I will tell you for free it will not be an easy election because there are so many factors at play but knowing what I know of both the opposition and the ruling party because I have touched both sides and seen the quantum of development milestones that president Barrow has achieved and his policy trust and his plans. I know President Barrow is going to wow Gambians with unprecedented developments. Infrastructure, both physical energy infrastructure and digital infrastructure. The opportunities he’s going to create for young people will make President Barrow and the NPP unbeatable in 2026. Yes it might not be an easy ride but when the whistle is blown in the 90th minute we will be celebrating Barrow,” Sabally said.

Sabally, once the Campaign Manager of the opposition United Democratic Party (UDP), is now a key figure in Barrow’s NPP and the Special Adviser to the President.
