Ramou Sabally, the Women Representative Councillor at Brikama Area Council and a supporter of the United Democratic Party (UDP) rejoined the National People’s Party (NPP) during a meeting with the president at State House last Sunday.
Her return follows her brother, former UDP campaign manager Momodou Sabally, who announced his allegiance to the president’s camp a week earlier.
Addressing the gathering at State House in the presence of the president and cabinet ministers, Ramou Sabally called on UDP supporters to stand with the president, emphasizing the importance of working together for peace, in alignment with President Barrow’s approach.
“All the UDP supporters present here stand up, we are behind the president. Let’s work and maintain peace just like President Barrow always does,” Ramou Sabally said at State House in front of the president and cabinet ministers on Sunday.
She also disclosed that the proprietor of Star FM/TV pledged a new compound, while businessman Abubacarr Jawara promised her a vehicle for her duties.
