President Adama Barrow’s re-appointed ministers have been sworn-in earlier today at the State House.
All the ministers have taken the prescribed oath of office, except Hon. Bakary Y. Badjie, who is currently with the Scorpions at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021) in Cameroon.

Jallow, Attorney General and Minister of Justice; Hamat NK Bah, Minister of Tourism and Culture; Mambury Njie, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs; Amie Fabureh, Minister of Agriculture; Ahmad Lamin Samateh, Minister of Health; Musa Drammeh, Minister of Lands, Regional Governments and Religious Affairs; James Gomez, Minister of Fisheries and Water Resources; Claudiana A. Cole, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education; Badara Joof, Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology; Dr. Momodou Tangara, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad; Fatou Kinteh, Minister of Gender, Children and Social Welfare; Fafa Sanyang, Minister of Energy and Petroleum; Lamin Dibba, Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources; Seedy Keita, Minister of Trade, Industry, Employment and Regional Integration; Ebrima Sillah, Minister of Information, Communications and Infrastructure; Sheikh Omar Faye, Minister of Defence; Bai Lamin Jobe, Minister of Transport, Works and Construction; and Yankuba J. Sonko, Minister of Interior took their oath at the ceremony.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues shortly after they were swore in, Hon. Lamin Dibba, Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources, assured the President of their continued support.
“I want to assure you of the cabinet’s continued support, loyalty and commitment to deliver the goods and services to the people of the Gambia in a more efficient and effective manner. As the cabinet is a collective responsibility, we must continue to collaborate and cooperate to deliver our common goals of delivering development to the Gambian people,” he said.
The environment Minister added that the cabinet is proud of Barrow’s leadership qualities he demonstrated in the last five years.
“We have the firm conviction that with your leadership, The Gambia will continue to register unprecedented development in all spheres of the economy. This is what prompted the majority of Gambians to overwhelmingly vote for you in the just-concluded December 4, 2021, Presidential elections. Gambians believe that you and your team will adequately address their needs and aspirations,” the Environmental Minister Hon. Lamin Dibba said.
