President Adama Barrow, giving an assessment of the Meet The People Tour, says the feedback he got from the communities he visited is that Gambians across the board have acknowledged the progress made by his government over the years.

“I am very happy with the tour. The turnout was very, very good, and was well organized. People came out in their numbers. They have put their message across, and we have listened to them carefully. There are some challenges, but one thing was very important and very outstanding. They have admitted that we have progressed. That means we have done some projects that have impacted on the life of the people. It is clear that is different from 2017 to 2021.

“That means we are progressing. We are moving, but still, I think we can do more. We have built a strong foundation. I think now the sky is the limit. But we have to thank the Gambian people for the support. Without their support, it would have been very, very difficult for us to implement all these projects. We have new projects that we are coming to start by 2023 and inshallah before 2026 you will see a big improvement in this country,” the president said.

President Barrow made these remarks at State House upon arriving from his ‘Meet The People Tour’ on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022.
