President Barrow Bids Farewell To Outgoing UNDP Resident Representative

President Adama Barrow and Aissata De Outgoing UNDP Resident Representative


President Adama Barrow today bid farewell to the outgoing UNDP Resident Representative, Ms Aissata De, at the State House in Banjul.

The President expressed gratitude to UNDP for the many years they have supported the government in various areas of development. He said through UNDP’s intervention, lives have been transformed by providing social services and addressing real vulnerabilities.

Speaking to the press following her audience with the President, Ms Aissata De said she was at the Presidency to bid farewell and to thank the President and the government for creating the space for the successful collaboration in transforming lives.

She cited the strides in community development, especially in remote communities without access to essential services, democratic transition and reforms, and health.

Ms De reiterated the UNDP’s commitment to continue the close collaboration and serving the people of The Gambia to improve lives. She commended the people of the Gambia for making her stay memorable and successful.
