Gambian President Adama Barrow advised Liberians to ‘unite against violence and terrorism’ for the development of their nation.
“As you celebrate your National Day, I urge you to revisit your roles as Liberian citizens and reflect on how to pursue your development aspirations in a democratic environment. Unite against violence and terrorism to build a brighter future for every citizen. This is a task for all African nations to achieve,” he said.
Barrow “most heartily” congratulated his Excellency President George Manneh Weah, his Government, and the People of the Republic of Liberia on the occasion of their country’s 175th Independence celebration.
The Gambian leader made the remarks in his address as Special Guest at the occasion on Wednesday.
On the invitation of the President Weah, Barrow joined other heads of state from the subregion and the continent at the ceremony in Monrovia .
