PPP Congress: Touma Njie angrily walked out

Fatoumatta (Touma) Njie is reported to have angrily walked out at the PPP elective congress in Brikama on grounds that some of her supporters were barred from entrance to vote for her.

Touma Njie fondly called, is a a member of Parliament under PPP ticket. She is contesting the position of the Secretary General and Party Leader at the party’s ongoing elective congress.

But information from the ground has it that some of the party delegates expecting to vote for Touma are not allowed into the congress hall. This prompted her to angrily walk-out.

The said supporters also insisted to go in. And she asked them to stand firm on their position as she left congress in Brikama Ba.

According to information, her supporters were denied entry because their names where not on the voters list.

PPP are currently holding their elective congress in Brikama Ba in the Central River Region (CRR).
