The Basse Police are investigating a tragic incident involving the death of a 60-year-old resident of Kerewan Badala in the URR.
Preliminary findings revealed that the victim was assaulted by his 25-year-old biological son on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Due to the grievous nature of the injury, the victim was evacuated to Basse Hospital, where he was hospitalized for medical attention.
Reportedly, the victim succumbed to the fatal injuries early hours today at the Basse hospital.
The suspect was arrested, and the murder weapon was recovered from the scene. He is currently in police custody, helping in the investigation.
