Upon his return to home, Abubacarr Darboe, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of a group called ‘Occupy Brikama Area’, has sought forgiveness from those worried by his absence last week.
“I calling on my family members, friends, co workers and to all those who were worried about me to forgive me for putting them in such a situation. It was never my intention to do it, but that’s how Allah destined it,” he told Kerr Fatou.
Darboe said he travelled out of the country without telling his family where exactly he was going, but was never missing.
“I travelled out the country for a business trip without telling my family, but I was never missing. I know the type of father I’m having, if I had informed him that I was going to Guinea Bissau for a business trip, he might block me from going that’s why I didn’t inform any of my family members,” Abubacarr said.
PRO Darboe said he informed his family that he was going to attend an event in Gunjur in the West Coast Region.
“I told my family that I’m going to Gunjur for an event. but I actually went to Guinea Bissau for business trip,” he concluded.
Darboe last week was reported to have left home but didn’t return after two days, which a family source has confirmed to Kerr Fatou.
