Neneh MC Cham has been elected the new President of the Gambia Bar Association, taking the reins from Salieu Taal. Frederick Forster and Abdoulie Fatty will also join the leadership team as Vice President and Secretary General, respectively.

Cham’s assumption of the role of the new President of the Gambia Bar Association signifies the commencement of a fresh chapter for the organization. She brings an abundance of experience and expertise in the legal realm, with widely acknowledged leadership skills within the legal community.

The New Bar Association Executive

In conjunction with these developments, the Gambia Bar Association has also seen the return of several former executive members who have transitioned to ordinary member roles within the executive. Among them is Salieu Taal, the former President, who has opted to contribute in a different capacity this time. Similarly, Ya Amie Touray, Lena Hydara, and Oley Dibba have all returned as ordinary members of the executive.
