National Assembly Set to Begin Fourth Ordinary Session

The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly has officially announced that the Fourth Ordinary Session of the National Assembly will take place from November 15 to December 23, 2024.

In a public notice, the Office of the Clerk stated:  “The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly wishes to announce for the information of the general public that the Fourth Ordinary Session (Budget Session) of the National Assembly in the 2024 Legislative Year shall be convened for the period Friday 15th November – Monday 23rd December 2024.” 

During this session, Members of the National Assembly will deliberate on the Government of The Gambia’s Draft Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the 2025 fiscal year. Other matters on the agenda include Questions to Honourable Ministers for Oral Responses, Reports from various Parliamentary Committees and delegations, as well as motions and bills.

The Clerk’s office also announced that the daily sittings will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Those wishing to attend are required to obtain admittance cards from the Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate. The public is reminded to adhere to the standard dress code (traditional attire) and to observe the silence rule during the session proceedings.

“Daily Sitting commences at 10:00am prompt. All those who wish to attend the daily sittings are requested to obtain an admittance card from the Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate. The public is reminded to comply with the standard dress code (traditional suit) required and to observe the silence rule during proceedings of the Session,” the office of the Clerk announced.
