The Ministry of Health would conduct the second phase of medicines recall exercise from 21st to 25th October 2022.
“Following the successful medicines recall exercise from the 5h to 9h October 2022, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Medicines Control Agency, WHO, UNICEF, Child Fund The Gambia and The Gambia Red Cross Society will be conducting the second phase of the medicines recall exercise from Friday 21st to Tuesday 25th October 2022,” a statement by the ministry stated.
It added that all Paracetamol syrups, Promethazine syrups, and Cough syrups in circulation nationwide would be recalled during the exercise.
“In addition, all Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited products will be recalled from all pharmacy outlets, drug stores and households countrywide,” the statement continued.
