Minister Tangara meets E. Guinea’s President Obiang

The autocratic ruler of Equitorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, has met with Gambia’s foreign affairs minister Dr Muhammed Tangara in Malabo, according to a press reslease from the foreign affairs ministry.

Tangara who met Obiang on August 13 was in Malabo as a special envoy of President Adama Barrow.

The foreign ministry said the visit was meant to cement the cordial  bilateral relations between the two countries.

Dictator Obiang is the host of Gambia’s former strongman Yahya Jammeh who currently lives in his country since his schocking election defeat in Gambia in December 2016.

Jammeh lost his mother Asombi Bojang some weeks ago and Obiang has played a role in facilitating the transportation of her body to be buried in Gambia.
