The Minister for Tourism and Culture, Hon. Hamat N.K. Bah has today arrived in London as Gambia Government representative at the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“Hon. Hamat Bah, Minister for Tourism and Culture arrived in London for the Queen’s funeral as a Government representative.
“He was received by the special Representative of the U.K Foreign Minister this morning.
“DHM (Deputy Head of Mission) Suntou Touray was also on hand for the formal welcoming of Hon. Bah.
“He (Hamat) will visit Westminster Hall to see the Queen Lying in State, and sign the Royal Book of Condolences.
“He will attend the State Funeral Service on Monday,” a statement by the Gambia High Commission in London on Saturday.
The Gambia Government representative would also meet the Speaker of U.K House of Commons on Tuesday.
The duo would discuss common relationship, and the Speaker would thank The Gambia for sympathising with the U.K. on the demise of the Queen, the statement added.
