The Movement of Democratic Forces of Cassamance (MFDC) freed seven captive Senegalese soldiers earlier on Monday.
The soldiers were captured by the MFDC during a clash on Gambian soil on 24th January.
Their release followed negotiations with the movement by ECOWAS, Gambia Armed Forces and Catholic Sant’Egidio charity from Italy.
Last week, the movement released the corpses of three of the soldiers they killed in the clash.
