President of the Network of Locally Elected Women of Africa -REFELA- and Mayor of Banjul City Council (BCC) Rohey Malick Lowe, has chaired a workshop convened by REFELA and ALGA of UCLG Africa, in partnership with the Communal of the City of Rabat on the topic “Transforming Female Leadership to leave No One, No Place Behind.”
The workshop was hosted as part of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) 2022 Conference currently underway in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, from the 23rd to 30th July 2022.
The conference is been organised under the theme: Implementing and Promoting Effective Governance Principles to Leave No One, No Place Behind.
Speakers in the workshop elaborated on the need to empower women both politically and economically to ensure that they are not left behind.
Speakers include: Vice President of REFELA Africa and President of REFELA Morocco Chapter; President of the Prefectural Council of Skhirate Temara, Morocco; Mayor of the City of Doufelgou 2, President of REFELA Togo Chapter; Deputy President of the Regional Council of Indenie, Cote D’Ivoire; and Hon. Dr Fatima Gouaima Mazzi, Member of the Bureau of the Communal Council of the City of Rabat, Morocco.
