Marimoo Pakfoot FC defeated defending champions Hawks FC by two goals to zero in the Baluwo-sponsored Gambia Football Federation (GFF) 1st Division League matchup game.
Dawda Darboe scored in the 43rd minute to put Marimoo Pakfoot ahead against the defending champions and Super Cup winners.
Ousman Joof extended Marimoo’s lead in the 70th minute to secure all three points for Pakfoot FC.
The game eventually ended two zip in favour of Marimoo Pakfoot against Hawks FC.
Elsewhere in league matches, the Football Federation Cup (FF Cup) winners Wallidan were held to 1 all-draw by Gamtel FC.
Assan Jawo put Gamtel ahead in the 32nd minute of the game and four minutes after the Gamtel goal, Kebba Gibba evened the score for Wallidan in the 36th minute of the game.
The game ended Wallidan 1-1 Gamtel FC.
