Learning On The Job Is A Necessity!

It’s expected that one should continue to learn on the job. Heck, Mayor Besounda did (reflecting on town hall). And this brings me to the president’s interview with Mr. Jones.

I was hoping to see a clarification from his handlers or the President himself regarding his utterance on matters of the audit reports.

Indeed, the audit report is an opinion, but an unqualified opinion that fairly represents the financial statements, in all material respects, the financial position, results of operations, and cash flows of the entity in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.

So, why is the president downplaying such a report to the extent that he’s questioning the motives and competence of able public servants? Well, it’s anyone’s guess. Still, with respect, I think the president’s advisors did a poor job or he was unable to grasp the concept of the audit when explained to him.

What’s disheartening is the chief executive undercutting the public employees with an appearance of impropriety in them—his utterance of bias or mistake without proof. How can he expect law enforcement, the judiciary, or govt partners to take such a report with the seriousness it deserves? 🤦‍♂️
