The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly has announced in a press release that Members of the National Assembly will begin a recess from Thursday, August 1 to Saturday, August 31, 2024.
During this period, all activities, including Plenary and Committee Sessions of the National Assembly, will be suspended to allow Honourable Members to take a vacation.
“All Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Partners, and the General Public are hereby informed that the National Assembly will be on a month Recess, effective Thursday 1st August 2024, and normal business resumes from Monday 2nd September 2024. Accordingly, the Office of the Clerk shall not entertain any official engagement with NAMs during the said period,” the statement reads
The Office of the Clerk also wished all National Assembly Members a happy vacation and requested the cooperation and understanding of everyone involved.
