The lawmakers ratified a $2 million development grant agreement between the United States of America through the United States agency for International development (USAID) and The Gambia.
The grant, according to the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs (MoFEA), Mambury Njie, is aimed at strengthening democracy, peace stability in The Gambia.
The ratification took place on Thursdayat the National Assembly complex in Banjul after parliamentarians debated the merits of the grant agreement meant for the development of various sectors in The Gambia.
