Kemo Conteh has been elected president of the University of the Gambia Student Union. He scored 58 percent of the votes cast defeating Omar Dibba who won 43 percent of the votes.
Abdoulie Gaye, Chairperson and Returning Officer of the University of the Gambia Students’ Union Electoral Commission gave the following results and analyses of the election:
’Kemo Conteh 2139 votes (58%), and Omar Dibba 1522 votes (41.3%) while 24 votes (0.7%) were invalid votes. I therefore declare Mr Kemo Conteh duly elected as the 21st President of the 21st Executive Council of the University of The Gambia Students’ Union” .
