The newly elected National Assembly Member (NAM) for the Foni Bantang Karanai constituency, Honourable Bakary K. Badjie prayed for Allah to take his soul, if he ever defected to the National People’s Party (NPP).
“If Allah sees me defect to the NPP, let Him take my soul. I will never defect to the NPP. If Allah sees such a thing, let Him take my soul. I can tell you in reality, Adama’s governance system is not what we need. We don’t appreciate the way we are governed. The parliament will get to know there are serious parliamentarians who will sit and decide on issues,” Bakary K. Badjie told Kerr Fatou after taking his oath on Thursday.
Bakary K. Badjie contested under an independent ticket for the Foni Bantang and defeated Ebrima Solo Jammeh of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the just concluded Parliamentary Election.
