The Independent Electoral Commission [IEC] has registered 556, 766 voters within 3 weeks according to its latest release dated 21st June.
In Banjul 13, 503 voters have been registered; 7, 125 are females and 6, 378 are males.
In Kanifing 120, 898 voters have been registered; 65, 963 are females and 54, 935 are males.
In Brikama 194, 451 have been registered; 110, 943 are females and 83, 508 are males.
In Kerewan 63, 528 voters have been registered; 35, 776 are females and 27, 482 are males.
In Mansakonko 27, 196 have been registered; 14, 701 are females and 12, 495 are males.
In Janjanbureh 68, 640 have been registered; 40, 345 are females and 28, 295 are males.
In Basse 68, 820 have been registered; 43, 140 are females and 25, 680 are males.
The above amounts to 317, 993 females and 238, 773 are males, giving a total of 556, 766.
The Commission started the general voter registration process on 29th May and scheduled to complete it on 11th July 2021. IEC targets to register 1.2 million voters during the period for the 4th December 2021.
