IEC Registers More Female Voters Than Males

The Independent Electoral Commission has registered 215, 626 females and 161, 466 males voters in the general registration underway.
This means that the number of registered females surpassed that of males by 54, 160.
According to the commission’s dispatch dated 14th June, 2021 and signed by its Chairman, a total of 376, 092 voters have been registered in the second week of the process.
The commission started the general voter registration on 29th May and scheduled to complete it on 11th July 2021.
The IEC targets to register 1.2 million voters for the 4th December 2021.
