Jainaba Bah, the People’s Progressive Party candidate for the Brikama Area Council Chairmanship election, is confident of winning the race. She believes that her gender will be an asset in her campaign, as she can connect with voters on a personal level and offer a unique perspective on the issues facing the community.
“I am very optimistic because the main thing why I am optimistic is because I am a woman and women are the largest group that could get out the vote and I think they will take this opportunity to vote for a woman,” She said
The People’s Progressive Party candidate for West Coast, Jainaba Bah, also outlined her priorities for the region. She said that her top priority is to unite the West Coast and bring people together.
“My first priority is unity among the West Coast, without unity, we cannot do anything. Unity is the key thing that I want to do for the West Coast so that we can all work together. I want to bring everyone on board and without party tribe or religion, so that everyone will see themselves in the development of the West Coast
“I am a woman and a mother, am a sister and a wife. I have kids who are young people. Young people will see themselves in my administration. I will bring them on board directly. I will work with them directly, and they will see themselves in my administration. I will not say I am the most competent, but I know what I can do and who I am, I know what I can deliver to the people of the West Coast” She concludes.
