The Gambia Football Federation has rubbished claims that The Gambia Under 20 who finished third at the just concluded Under 20 Championship In Mauritania are Stranded in Morocco.
Recently, a video of Gambian players went viral on Monday. In the video, some of the players are heard complaining about lack of food in a hotel in Morocco.
The Federation said the claims are false, premeditated, and a malicious innuendo bent on sullying the reputation of Football House.
“The team left Nouakchott at 03:20 on schedule and arrived in Casablanca at 06:55 local time. Due to travel difficulties during this Covid-19 pandemic, the team is scheduled to spend 40 hours in Casablanca on transit and prior to their departure, the team, through the Head of Delegation (HoD) applied for transit visa on behalf of the entire delegation to allow them leave the airport,” GFF explained.
