The Second Deputy Leader of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC), Ahamadou M.H. Kah, has resigned today.

“As of today, November 30, 2022, I have submitted my letter of resignation from my position as the GDC’s second deputy party leader. My immediate resignation is being made due to my displeasure with the way and manner in which the party is being run. I sincerely hope that the executive will take the arguments to put up to them for the benefit of the party seriously,” Mr. Kah wrote on his official Facebook account.

Mr. Kah further stated that he would keep working harder than ever for the Gambia, and said that the building of the nation will begin with “our utmost honesty” and love for the country.

“In my opinion, Gambians must stand firm to defend sound principles of democracy and good governance,” he said.

Mr. Kah thanked his loved ones, friends, and well-wishers, wished every GDC member well, and implored them to be more aware of the party and its leadership.

He made this pronouncement this afternoon on his official Facebook account.
