Gambia’s Covid-19 Tally Surges By 63 Cases

 

 


The Gambia’s coronavirus tally has increased by 63 cases, but the death toll remains at 160, according to the 282nd COVID-19 national situation report published on 19th March 2021
.

Fondly referred to as the smiling coast of Africa, The Gambia currently has 5,216 confirmed cases; 160 deaths; 226 active cases; 4,830 recoveries; and 9 patients on oxygen therapy, since it registered its first case, a year ago.

While its neighbour Senegal, has 37,541 confirmed cases; 33,931 recoveries, and 1003 deaths since the virus hit the Francophone nation. And the tally for globally cases stands at 122,697,776 confirmed cases; 98,906,742 recoveries; and 2,707,572 deaths since the outbreak began in the Chinese city of Wuhan in November, 2019.
