Gambian journalist Musa Sheriff explains ordeal at NIA

The proprietor of The Voice newspaper and reporter for Pana Press has explained how he was tortured by country’s feared National Intelligence Agency following his arrest in 2006.

Musa Sheriff was suspected to have been working for Freedom Newspaper, an online platform that was critical of country’s former old-school dictator Yahya Jammeh.

Sheriff was arrested with dozens of other people including Lamin Cham, the managing editor of The Standard newspaper.
