Gambia Volleyball Team have today lost to the host England at the quarterfinals of the Commonwealth Games underway.
England won the first as well as the third and deciding set, while Gambia won only the second set.
“We missed out on a semi-final place of the Commonwealth Games Beach Volleyball.
“England knocked Gambia out by winning 15-12 in the third and deciding set. It ended 2-1 overall. What a fight from the boys. In the end, it wasn’t enough to upset the host,” updates by Gambian journalist Momodou Gagaga in England said.
The Gambia qualified to the quarterfinals after beating Sri Lanka and Canada in two of their pool games.
